Description
This kit is pretty basic, but has all the things that make it Good and Strong. At the center is the quick release 36h Shimano FS-RH400 front hub with a 100 mm axle, with cup and cone and bearings that, with a little maintenance, will stand the test of time . The spokes are double butted Sapim Race (2.0/1.8/2.0) , selected for durability. The rim is a silver 700c Sun Ringle CR-18, known for it’s value and toughness. This wheel is great for giving a refresh to an older 90’s hybrid or touring bike.
This kit meets the sweet spot between price and durability. Great for touring and general abuse. Will anyone look at it and say, “Wow, that wheel is really nice.” Probably not, but since you built it, you’ll know the truth.
