1. Agreement to These Terms
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of WheelBuildingKit.com (the “Site”) and your purchase of products from Velolento LLC, a California limited liability company (“Velolento,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By using the Site or placing an order, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site or place an order.
Our Privacy Policy and our Returns Policy are incorporated into these Terms by reference, along with the product documentation, specifications, and maintenance instructions published on our product pages.
2. Who We Are
Velolento LLC operates WheelBuildingKit.com, offering curated bicycle wheel-building kits and related components, tools, and accessories. You can contact us at the email address listed on the Site.
3. Orders, Acceptance, and Pricing
All orders are offers to purchase and are subject to our acceptance. We may refuse or cancel any order for any reason, including limits on quantities available, errors in product or pricing information, or suspected fraud. If we cancel an order after your payment has been processed, we will issue a full refund.
Prices are listed in U.S. dollars and are subject to change without notice. In the event of a pricing or typographical error, we reserve the right to cancel the affected order and refund your payment, even after an order confirmation has been sent.
Applicable sales tax will be calculated and collected at checkout where required by law.
4. Payment
Payment is processed at the time of purchase through our third-party payment processor. By submitting payment information, you represent that you are authorized to use the payment method provided. We do not store your full payment card details.
5. Shipping and Risk of Loss
Shipping costs and estimated timelines are shown at checkout. Estimated delivery dates are estimates only and are not guaranteed. Title to products and risk of loss pass to you upon our delivery of the products to the carrier. If a shipment arrives damaged, please contact us promptly and retain all packaging so a carrier claim can be filed.
6. Returns
Returns are governed by our Returns Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Please review it before purchasing. In the event of any conflict between these Terms and the Returns Policy regarding a return or exchange, the Returns Policy controls.
7. Product Specifications, Fitment, and Your Responsibilities
Our products include components that require correct specification, assembly, adjustment, and ongoing maintenance to function safely.
Specifications you provide or select. Where you supply measurements or specifications (including spoke lengths, hub or rim dimensions, spoke counts, or lacing patterns), or select components based on your own compatibility determination, you are responsible for the accuracy of that information and for the compatibility of the components you choose with your bicycle. We are responsible for supplying the components and performing any work as described in the applicable product listing.
Maintenance requirements. Certain components we sell, including cup-and-cone bearing hubs, require periodic inspection and adjustment as a normal part of ownership. The need for such adjustment is a documented maintenance characteristic of these products, not a defect. Please review the maintenance documentation on our product pages before purchase and follow it after purchase.
Safe assembly and use. Bicycle components must be assembled, installed, and inspected by a person with the appropriate mechanical competence, following the documentation we provide and the component manufacturers’ instructions. Cycling involves inherent risks. You are responsible for using products only for their intended purpose, within their stated limits, and for inspecting your equipment regularly.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
EXCEPT AS EXPRESSLY STATED IN A PRODUCT LISTING OR IN OUR RETURNS POLICY, PRODUCTS AND THE SITE ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
Some products may be covered by a manufacturer’s warranty; any such warranty is provided by the manufacturer, not by us, and is subject to the manufacturer’s terms.
SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW LIMITATIONS ON IMPLIED WARRANTIES, SO SOME OF THE ABOVE LIMITATIONS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU. NOTHING IN THESE TERMS LIMITS ANY WARRANTY OR RIGHT THAT CANNOT BE DISCLAIMED OR LIMITED UNDER APPLICABLE LAW.
9. Limitation of Liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, VELOLENTO LLC AND ITS MEMBERS, OFFICERS, AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOSS OF USE, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SITE, THESE TERMS, OR ANY PRODUCT PURCHASED FROM US.
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO ANY ORDER WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE PRODUCT OR ORDER GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM.
THESE LIMITATIONS DO NOT APPLY TO LIABILITY THAT CANNOT BE LIMITED UNDER APPLICABLE LAW, INCLUDING LIABILITY FOR GROSS NEGLIGENCE, WILLFUL MISCONDUCT, OR PERSONAL INJURY WHERE SUCH LIMITATION IS PROHIBITED.
10. Site Content and Intellectual Property
The content of the Site, including text, product descriptions, guides, calculators, images, and logos, is owned by or licensed to Velolento LLC and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from Site content without our prior written permission, except for your own personal, non-commercial reference.
Technical information on the Site, including any spoke length calculations or compatibility guidance, is provided for general reference. You are responsible for verifying measurements and calculations against your actual components before ordering or building.
11. Accuracy of Information
We work to keep product information accurate, but we do not warrant that descriptions, specifications, images, pricing, or availability are error-free, complete, or current. We reserve the right to correct errors and to update or change information at any time without prior notice.
12. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or your purchase will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in San Diego County, California, and you consent to the jurisdiction of those courts. Either party may instead pursue an eligible claim in small claims court.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The version posted on the Site at the time you place an order governs that order. The “Last updated” date above reflects the most recent revision.
14. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, that provision will be limited or removed to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
15. Contact
Questions about these Terms can be directed to us through the contact information listed on the Site.
