Long live the 26er! This DIY wheel building kit is designed to be both durable and affordable. We paired the Joytech 751DSE hub with custom cut Sapim Leader spokes and a durable Sun CR18 rim. It drops into any front fork with a 100 mm quick release standard (most 26″ mountain bikes). This low stakes build has a lot of things going for it. Here’s why we put this together:

• We’re big fans of rebuild-able hubs. This has user serviceable cup and cone bearings that will last a long time with proper care.
• This kit is affordable. It is assembled to create a DIY build for beginners that won’t break the bank.
• The wheel looks really nice when completed, you know, it’s shiny silver!
• 36 holes mean it’s practically bomb proof.

This hub may need some some adjustment as the factory bearings are somewhat tight. Be sure you know how to do this before ordering.
