This is perhaps one of the most indestructible wheel kits we offer. It’s perfect for loaded touring or where the terrain is less than ideal.
At the heart of this build is the Bitex BX103R 36 hole hub. It is way overbuilt with 6 sealed cartridge bearings and a steel 135 mm axle. It’s one of the best touring hubs currently produced. The hub is user serviceable and simple to tear down and maintain using standard tools (two 5mm Allen keys).
When laced with Sapim double butted spokes to a 36 hole Velocity Atlas 700c rim with a high-strength box profile design featuring double eyelets and extra-thick sidewalls to maximize brake track longevity, this becomes a nearly bomb-proof wheel, designed to never leave you stranded.
This kit comes with the Bitex BX103r 36 hole hub – 10 x 135mm QR, Velocity Atlas 700c 36h rim, Sapim 14g double butted spokes, and rim tape.
