This solid build kit has all the things that make it Good and Strong. At the center is the quick release 36h Shimano FS-RH400 front hub with a 100 mm axle. It has cup and cone and bearings that with a little maintenance will stand the test of time . The spokes are double butted Sapim Race (2.0/1.8/2.0) , selected for durability and riding comfort. The rim is a silver 700c Sun Ringle CR-18, known for its value and toughness. This wheel is great for giving a refresh to an older 90’s hybrid or touring bike.
This kit meets the sweet spot between price and durability. Great for touring, commuting and general abuse.
The hubs symmetrical design makes for a less challenging build, as all the spokes are the same length and the final tensions should be equal.
This kit includes a hub, rim, spokes/nipples and rim tape.
Be sure to order any extra parts / supplies you may need, including tools and spoke lubricant.
