This\u00a0 classic mountain bike wheel building kit is designed to be not only tough and versatile, it&#8217;s so shiny that you&#8217;ll think it&#8217;s 1986.<\/p>\n<p>For this build we went with practicality,\u00a0 beauty and a great price,\u00a0 This Yu-Hub has traditional cup and cone bearings, meaning it is\u00a0 rebuildable and user serviceable. The polished silver looks great paired with the\u00a0 legendary Sun Rhyno Lite 26 inch rim.<\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s why we put this kit together:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The hub is designed for disc brakes, but the rim is made for rim-brakes. While this may seem odd this makes the wheel compatible with both older and newer 26 inch brake standard. Because of this it can be easily move between bikes with different brake types, both rim and disc.<\/li>\n<li>This particular hub has a round 6-bolt disc flange that looks great when the wheel is run in rim brake mode without the disc.<\/li>\n<li>We intentionally chose affordable parts that are still pretty darn good. This puts this wheel at a great price point, making this ideal for a low stakes build that will look great while still being durable.<\/li>\n<li>Beautiful, shiny silver!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This kit comes with: YH-601RQ Rear Q\/R Disc hub 36h, Sun Rhyno Lite polished silver rim 36h,\u00a0 Sapim leader straight gauge spokes cut to length, and rim-tape. Ready to go, ready to build.<\/p>\n<p>Cassette Body Type: Shimano\/SRAM 11 Speed Mountain, Shimano\/SRAM 11 Speed Road, Shimano\/SRAM 8,9,10 Speed<br \/>\nRear Axle: QR x 135mm &#8211; if you&#8217;re putting this on an old steel MTB frame, it may have a rear dropout with of 130mm or less. That&#8217;s\u00a0 solved by cold setting the frame to 135mm. Be sure to check your rear rear dropout width.<\/p>\n<p>This hub comes over-tightened from the factory.
