This DIY build kit is designed around the 36 hole 3-cross lacing pattern, as it is the standard for strength. 36 hole builds are also more forgiving of differences in spoke tension for first time builders and experts alike.<\/p>\n
This is another of our Weird Duck builds. What that means is the this wheel will work with both rim brakes and disk brakes and is compatible with 9mm QR dropouts – 100 O.L.D. This is good because you get more bang for your buck, especially if you have multiple bikes or may switch bikes in the future.\u00a0 Also, the Alfine looks ust as good in rim or disc mode.<\/p>\n
